April 15th, 2024 - As the Pollock “A” Season concludes, Russia has already exceeded harvesting over 1 million metric tonnes, marking a 6 percent increase from last year.
Despite this year's Russian Total Allowable Catch for Pollock increasing by 11 percent over the previous year, landing totals hovered around 1.9 million metric tonnes in both 2023 and 2022.

Given these dynamics, our recommendation is to secure your Pollock requirements. As supplies dry up, prices are likely to rise—compounded by the ban on Russian-origin Pollock entering the USA.
Current pricing for the new season Alaska Pollock fillets in North America ranges from $2.75/lb USD for 2-4oz sizes to $3.75/lb for 4-6oz.

In China, the price for Alaska Pollock raw materials is on the rise, in stark contrast to the declining prices for Russian Pollock.
Prices for smaller 500 to 700g Alaska Pollock are around $1850 per metric tonne, with larger sizes fetching over $2000, compared to Russian Pollock at $950 per metric tonne.
